Elzinga & Volkers Shakes Up Corporate Suite with Two Promotions, Executive Committee Addition

HOLLAND, Mich. — Elzinga & Volkers (E&V), a leading provider of construction management services, announced recent changes to its corporate suite with the promotion of two executives and the addition of an executive committee member. Tony Roussey, the previous vice president of operations, has been promoted to chief operating officer (COO) and Joe Novakoski, PE, previously the vice president of project management, has been promoted to vice president of operations. Grace Silva, CFO of E&V, has been added to the E&V executive committee – the first female in E&V history.

The promotions are the result of the Company’s continued growth, including the recent hiring of 26 new employees. E&V sees the potential for 20 percent growth in its field operations staff over the next two years and similar growth to its project backlog over that same timeframe. E&V attributes this growth projection to strong demand for construction services in the West Michigan and national markets.

“We are continuing to grow at a rapid rate, and promoting Tony and Joe, two valued executives, is a strategic move to build on this momentum,” said Mike Novakoski, president and CEO of Elzinga & Volkers. “These team members are committed to E&V’s continued development, both through organic opportunities and the expansion of our physical footprint with the addition of our Coldwater office. Each is wholly vested in our 2020 vision and the successful attainment of the goals outlined in our strategic plan.”

Roussey holds a construction management certificate from the University of Wisconsin and a construction estimating certificate from North Harris County Community College. He is currently a board member of the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum and Associated Builders and Contractors of West Michigan. In his new role as COO, Tony will oversee the integration of business development, operations and finance as well as oversee implementation of the company’s 2020 Painted Picture.
