Safety Week 2020 will kick-off on Monday, March 16, with our annual Symposium on Safety. This year’s event will have a similar format to years past, with exhibitors available at the beginning of the event to provide industry knowledge in various areas, a buffet lunch and then our formal program. Our keynote speaker, Pat Karol, will be presenting on “Selling Safety to the Front Lines”. He will share how each member of an organization is crucial in ensuring the safety of every person on a project site and provide tried and true methods on securing buy-in from all stakeholders.

And, back by popular demand, breakout sessions! The feedback was overwhelming, so this year, we are bringing them back! Ideally, you would have one member from your company in each of the assessments to provide a well-rounded learning experience that will help you to successfully implement new or improved safety strategies in your company. There will be three sessions available:

1. President, CEO and Executive Assessment – Ideally suited for company owners and executives, discussion in this session will be centered around best practices, we hope that everybody will share their tried and true methods with all others in the room.

2. The Safety Team Assessment – Perfect for any person that is part of a safety committee or in a safety leadership position in their company. Discussion in this group will focus on securing employee buy-in, working with executives on funding safety, managing push-back and any other issues participants care to discuss.

3. The Field Leadership Assessment – Geared toward any person who works in the field or has direct management of field personnel, attendees will discuss how to best encourage peers to follow safety protocols. They will learn how to manage obstacles that may be preventing a 100% safe projects and methods for managing challenging situations.
